Otoplasty is the surgery to correct ear deformities, most commonly when the ears are too prominent or separated from the head, which usually causes several psychological problems, especially in children.
This surgical procedure does not improve the patient’s hearing, but it does improve their self-esteem.
It is performed as an ambulatory procedure, meaning that the patient goes home once the surgery is finished.
